Business Education Seminars
Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce is here to help your business grow. We have teamed up with the Alaska Small Business Development Center to bring you a series of business education seminars so you can learn new skills, stay informed or get motivated. These classes will start November 4 and continue throughout 2012 the First Friday of every month at the Palmer Public Library. Class titles and topics to be determined.
Health Care Reform: 2012 & Beyond, The Impact On Our Small Businesses April 6th, 10am - Noon - $20.00 Event Location: City of Palmer Library, 655 S Valley Way, Palmer, AK 99645 This course will provide an overview of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act from the perspective of Alaska Small Business and discuss upcoming changes facing business owners. Key topics will include; minimum essential benefits, small business tax credits and up-coming changes to health benefit plans. By understanding the implications of new and proposed regulations, business owners can be better equipped to make appropriate decisions and enhance profitability.
